The Sunshine Coast

On June 16th we set off on a get away to the Sunshine Coast. We took a ferry to Langdale from Horseshoe in West Vancouver and walked ourselves to the Gibson, a small town in Sunshine Coast for some groceries at SuperValu in Sunnycrest Mall. We then took another bus to our Airbnb, which is a cozy cottage, located on the Sunshine Coast highway itself right in front of the beach and a few steps from the fort, called the Raven’s Nest. We spent two nights at our humble cottage, furnished with vintage up-cycled interiors along with contemporary amenities. The whole neighbourhood was silent and mellow when dusk falls, only the sounds of waves or occasional traffic occupy the atmosphere. At midnight, thanks to being situated far away from the urban chaos, the stars lit up the dim night sky.
